PART
ONE: THE INNER YOU
In Part One of the interpretations you will read two sections concerned
with your individual traits.
The first section describes your ego (sun), emotional make-up (moon),
learning and intellectual orientation (Mercury), relationships and sociability
(Venus), and the expression and focus of your physical energy (Mars).
The second section describes how well you deal internally with the external
situations that you experience in life. Your capacity for happiness
(Jupiter), ability to tolerate restrictions and frustrations (Saturn),
how you are associated with or relate to new or innovative ideas and
methods, and radical ideas and events that upset the status quo (Uranus),
how you are associated with or affected by public ideals, morality,
and spirituality (Neptune), and how you are associated with or affected
by public policies toward crime, toward the power of government and
industry, and toward exploration, development, conservation and distribution
of natural resources (Pluto).
SUN
The sun rules will power and ego. It is the core of your potential and
uniqueness as an individual; who you are and what you are about. It
represents the main direction and focus you want your life to take,
and your determination to accomplish what you set out to do. It is your
personal honesty and integrity, and the ability to command respect and
authority, to impress and influence others.
SUN in PISCES
As the twelfth sign of the zodiac, Pisces represents the twelfth and
final stage in the evolution of man and his place in the universe. Here,
the desire is to use all that has been learned and assimilated in order
to gain perfection; of man as an individual and humanity as a whole.
This perfection leads man to his rightful place in the universe. Though
not all Pisceans occupy their time with such lofty aspirations as attaining
their rightful place in the universe, the notion of perfection is a
strong factor in their personality. They find it difficult to deal with
people and situations that do not live up to their idealized images.
It isn't that they can't see things clearly, they just don't want to
accept things as they really are. Seeking greater perfection than the
real world is capable of producing, they often turn to religion or other
spiritual and philosophical disciplines.
Pisceans readily adapt to change. This trait is a strength because it
is a survival mechanism, and a weakness because it makes them vulnerable
to the demands and influence of other people. In spite of their sensitive
personality and delicate physical constitutions, most Pisceans are survivors.
Their adaptability allows them to outlast those who may be much stronger.
Because they so readily identify with the feelings of others, and willingly
adapt themselves to different people and changing circumstances, they
risk the exploitation or loss of their own needs, ideas, and talent.
The opposite side of the coin is that adaptability also allows Pisceans
to gain personal power over those they understand so well and turn it
to their own advantage. The fish is the astrological symbol for Pisces.
The fish is pictured as a double figure seen to swim in either direction.
This represents the ultimate Piscean choice; either to be strong and
overcome weakness inherent in their sensitive nature, or to become the
victim of this acute vulnerability.
Pisceans react emotionally to everything they experience in life. Before
they take physical action, before they sort out the practicality of
what they are doing, and before they reason things out intellectually,
they give in to their feelings. Compassionate and fair-minded, they
are not at all afraid to bend unbreakable rules if the situation demands
a more humane approach. They make excellent judges, sensitive administrators,
and inspirational teachers. Their surplus of emotions implies an addictive
nature, and thus it is necessary to avoid habit-forming drugs and other
substances. To maintain their emotional equilibrium, they need a private
spot or at least a private time for daily retreat and relaxation. The
most creatively stimulating and soothing environment for Pisceans is
near water, preferably the ocean.
The modern ruler of Pisces is Neptune, planet of the spiritual and sensitive
qualities in man. Ancient astrologers assigned Pisces Jupiter, a planet
also associated with spirituality as well as thirst for knowledge and
understanding. These planets represent similar traits and both of them
influence Piscean personalities. They are idealistic, sensitive, and
love to play martyr. They are often shy and would much rather impersonate
someone else than be themselves. That's why so many are actors, artists,
writers, and dreamers. Their association with elusive Neptune makes
it hard to predict how Pisceans will develop. Some of them are neat
and well organized, while others become slovenly and careless. Personal
habits are often a direct reflection of emotional reactions to their
environment. Their imaginations are limitless, an ability that makes
them successful writers of fiction or turns them into pathological liars.
Unique ability to understand the abstract can make them gifted mathematicians
and theorists, or it can put them so out of touch with reality that
they make no sense at all.
As if to directly confront their own vulnerability, many Pisceans are
daredevils and risk-takers, becoming race car drivers, aviators, explorers,
and hunters. Their emotional nature can make them compulsive eaters
who face a lifelong battle of the bulge. Sports and physical fitness
routines are a good way for them to keep in shape as well as reduce
their emotional stress. Horseback riding, dancing, skating, swimming
or sailing are favored activities.
Piscean colors are pale green, purple, rose, and gray-blue. Vulnerable
parts of the body are the feet and lymphatic system. Swelling, allergic
reaction to drugs, and sore feet are common complaints, but their emotional
nature can also make them vulnerable to psychosomatic illness. The Piscean
birthstone is the aquamarine. The sea-colored aquamarine becomes invisible
when submerged in water. This is an appropriate representation of the
shy Pisceans who often wish they could disappear as easily. Flowers
for Pisces are the orchid, lilac, wisteria, water lily (lotus), poppy
(white), and pansy.
MOON
The moon rules desire as opposed to ego, need as opposed to expediency
or reason. It describes how you feel about yourself, how you handle
relationships, and how you emotionally respond to situations and experiences.
It describes the flow of your daily functions; physical, emotional,
and mental. The moon represents your residence and domestic environment.
It rules babies and young children, your mother and other important
females in your life.
MOON in SAGITTARIUS
Those born with the moon in a Fire sign want to turn their feelings
into physical experiences. They do not initially view their desires
from the standpoint of practicality, emotional commitment, or as lessons
to be learned. Before anything else there has to be action, some form
of instant physical gratification. As lunar Fire sign personalities,
those born with moon in Sagittarius are idealistic and romantic. Their
risk-taking, adventurous spirit and magnanimous generosity are a curse
as well as a blessing. It leaves them vulnerable to those who exploit
their generosity, but it is also the combination of spirit and attitude
needed for enormous success in enterprises that more cautious people
would be afraid to try. They are open and honest with a tendency to
be too candid at times, especially in situations that require a more
diplomatic approach. Impatience can be the biggest stumbling block to
success. They are not reluctant to make long-term emotional commitments,
but relationships or situations that do not encourage them to retain
a certain amount of personal freedom, are not likely to last long.
Sagittarius moon personalities are emotionally adaptable to changing
circumstances and different relationships. A duality of nature makes
them appear fickle and emotionally insecure while at the same time,
steadfast, and independent. Readily impressed by those with power and
status, they seek to associate with such people to increase their own
advancement; one of their main goals in life. Concerned with making
an impression on others, they may be guilty of inflating their knowledge
and importance. Attracted to architecture, art and design many of them
also have talent for mimicry and acting. For these lunar personalities,
the best opportunities are in writing, teaching, performing, sales,
education and communication.
Women with Sagittarius moon make better friends than lovers, though
their restlessness may lead to many sexual adventures. Friendship is
very important to them and their temperament is not well suited to domestic
life. Men with Sagittarius moon are inveterate chasers of the ideal
woman. Their emotional nature is uncomplicated, loyal, and at times,
amazingly prophetic.
MERCURY
Mercury indicates mental outlook, intellectual endeavors, the way you
think and communicate. It represents ideas, methods, and information.
It rules your hands and thus your manual dexterity and mechanical skills.
Mercury also describes transportation; that is, how you get where you're
going physically and mentally. Do you speed with all possible haste
or amble along taking a few detours here and there?
MERCURY in ARIES
Individuals with Mercury in Aries want to give full and enthusiastic
expression to their thoughts and ideas. For them, the decision-making
process is immediate. They avoid being subjected to protracted discussions
or lengthy, detailed investigations preferring to leave such time-consuming
situations to others. Their mind can be brilliant and sharp, but either
their ideas, or the manner in which they express those ideas, can often
lack subtlety and refinement. In some cases, despite apparent brilliance,
they lack the organization necessary for their ideas to be of practical
use to others. Mercury in Aries indicates individuals with acute senses,
a certain amount of nervous tension, and frequently, a very quick temper.
Their manner of learning and transportation tends to be rushed. They
want to get where they are going as fast as possible.
VENUS
Venus rules your social attitudes and behavior, and your aesthetic tastes
and inclinations. It is female relationships and social interactions
at every level. Venus indicates your values. It describes romance, marriage
and other partnerships, capacity for humor, and the pursuit of pleasure.
VENUS in ARIES
Individuals with natal Venus in Aries rush to enthusiastically embrace
relationships of all kinds. They enjoy having fun and some of their
pursuits may involve an element of risk. Their passionate eagerness
can be inspiring and contagious, but a penchant for undue haste sometimes
results in being rude. The combative nature of Aries also means they
can be too aggressive in forcing their attentions or affections on others.
Their social instincts are friendly and, most of the time, attractively
uncomplicated. Unwilling to take the necessary time to make proper evaluations,
they are not very discriminating in their values and relationships.
This is something, however, that can be overcome with maturity and guidance.
They are not likely to seek a peaceful or mundane existence, preferring
to be active and among people to find their inspiration.
MARS
Mars rules physical energy and efforts. It describes the strength and
direction of the physical force that drives your ego, fires your emotions,
and encourages your mental endeavors and communicative skills. It describes
male relationships and associations, risk-taking inclinations, and the
physical challenges you are likely to encounter.
MARS in CAPRICORN
Individuals with Mars in Capricorn are aggressively ambitious. They
act more decisively and with greater confidence when they are acting
within the limits of what is legally and socially acceptable. They are
also more effective when they know they are being observed, and when
they know that what they are doing commands respect. Rejection in business
or romance is not something they accept easily, and they continue to
relentlessly pursue their goals in any way they think will work. The
influence of Capricorn may mean a certain ruthlessness in their nature,
but that is what it takes to succeed in the fiercely competitive situations
they pursue. These individuals are often the ones responsible for bringing
about greatly needed changes, and establishing institutions and structures
that ultimately benefit many people other than themselves.
JUPITER
Jupiter rules your potential for growth and expansion on many levels;
physical, intellectual, spiritual, cultural, and the accumulation of
material assets, power, and status. It describes your optimism and aspirations.
It represents your father and his position in society.
JUPITER in AQUARIUS
Individuals with natal Jupiter in Aquarius can operate efficiently within
traditional ideas and institutions, while at the same time be receptive
to ideas and activities which seem fantastic or bizarre to other people.
Indeed, they are apt to experience their greatest personal progress
and growth by successfully dealing with situations that involve rebelling
against tradition or the established order. These individuals are likely
to possess extremely broad-minded social attitudes. They can be effective
catalysts within various organizations and groups.
SATURN
Saturn rules responsibilities, restrictions and limitations you are
apt to encounter, and the lessons you must learn in life. It does not
deny or diminish imagination, inspiration, spirituality, and good fortune
but it does demand that these things be given structure and meaning.
SATURN in ARIES
Individuals with natal Saturn in Aries are invariably faced with the
consequences of their actions. They do not usually have the luxury of
leaving their actions and reactions up to pure instinct. They are frustrated
when they do not succeed because they acted spontaneously. Frustration
increases on other occasions when they deliberately move at a slower
pace and still fail, realizing too late that they should have acted
sooner. Success becomes a matter of learning to control their physical,
mental, and emotional reactions, an ability that can only be developed
through maturity and experience.
URANUS
Uranus rules personal as well as societal freedom. It indicates originality
of thought and expression. In society it rules radical ideas and people
as well as revolutionary events that upset established structures. Uranus
takes approximately seven years to transit one sign, taking about 84
years to complete all twelve signs. Since groups of people with Uranus
in the same sign are separated by 84 years, the influence of this planet
in a sign is generational. The personal implications of Uranus in your
life are described by its house position and the aspects it makes with
other planets in your natal chart. It describes areas of unpredictability,
and where you or your life style may be different than those around
you. It relates to the unusual or unique. Friends and associations to
which you belong are also indicated, as is your potential involvement
with science and technology, computers, and the media.
URANUS in VIRGO
Virgo does not necessarily want to change things. Virgo inspires improvement
and the ability to make proper use of what is already at hand. It will
be up to the generation of individuals with natal Uranus in Virgo to
explore new methods, concepts, and technology that enable society to
deal more efficiently with existing resources, products, and institutions.
NEPTUNE
Neptune rules those who are oppressed or abandoned; the misfits of society.
On a higher level it rules visionaries, and those who are glamorous
and charismatic. It represents spirituality, mysticism, and ideals.
Neptune is in one sign for approximately thirteen years, taking about
164 years to complete its cycle through all twelve signs. Since 164
years separate people born during its transit of one sign and those
born when it returns, Neptune's significance in any sign is described
as generational or historical. On a personal level, Neptune's house
position and the aspects it makes with other planets in your natal chart
will describe spirituality, abstract thinking, illusion, disillusionment,
and other areas of your life where things aren't always what they seem.
It rules derangement, guilt, persecution, and describes the potential
for experiences related to confinement, abandonment, and addiction or
physical intolerance to drugs.
NEPTUNE in TAURUS
Taurus is associated with art, and solid accomplishment in the physical
and material world. The last transit of Neptune in Taurus was 1874-1889.
It inspired the first exhibition of the French Impressionists whose
methods depicted the natural appearance of objects. Neptune's spirituality
gained solid roots in the founding of Brigham Young University in Utah
and Hebrew Union College in Cincinnati.
PLUTO
Pluto takes approximately 248 years to make one cycle through all twelve
signs. The period Pluto spends in each sign can vary from twelve years
to thirty two years due to the eccentricity of its orbit. Like atomic
energy (a force ruled by Pluto), the presence and direction of Pluto's
energy are never obvious until it is used. Pluto's influence in any
sign is interpreted as generational or historical. In your personal
life, Pluto's significance is interpreted from its house position and
the aspects it makes to other natal planets in your horoscope. Pluto
rules intense energy, and describes the areas in which you consciously
or subconsciously seek to exercise power or control. Pluto is also linked
to your karmic responsibility, and in this respect, it describes the
areas where you must gain the deepest level of understanding.
PLUTO in TAURUS
Pluto's last period in Taurus was 1851-1882. Taurus is pragmatic and
materialistic. During the period of Pluto in Taurus the application
of physical scientific principles fostered the invention of machines
that made industrialization possible. The meteoric rise of capitalism
during this time was fueled by the unprecedented growth of industry
and finance.
PART TWO: THE OUTER YOU
In Part Two you will read about the twelve houses of the horoscope.
The houses represent areas of life in which you operate on a daily basis.
You will read descriptions of how you handle the circumstances you encounter
in each of these areas, according to your nature, personality and other
traits as they are outlined in Part One.
HOUSE 1
The first house and the sign that rules the first house, which is also
known as the Ascendant or Rising sign, describes your outer personality
and physical attributes. To some extent it also describes your health
and the type of illnesses you may experience.
CANCER ASCENDANT
A Cancer Ascendant indicates those who are dedicated to satisfying their
personal ambitions. However, they can appear so vulnerable that it is
difficult for others to determine just how determined or strong they
really are. They can be quite circumspect and hesitant to reveal their
true goals until they are certain of success. There is potential they
will have traumatic partnerships, especially marriage. Many of them
prefer to marry late in life, and tend to select older or more mature
partners or those who represent an authority figure.
They are emotionally oriented and may attempt to hide this vulnerability
behind a facade of forcefulness even though, more often than not, the
ploy is unsuccessful. Emotional vulnerability does not deny personal
magnetism or ambition. In fact their emotional commitment to something
often causes them to work twice as hard as anyone else, becoming quite
successful in the bargain. Home is not just where their hearts are,
it is usually where they want to physically spend most of their time
and attention.
Cancer is ruled by the moon, which implies strong nurturing instincts
that are evidenced in their caring, sympathetic personalities. In return,
they also seek to be "mothered" and may be guided in life by a strong
person (usually female) who fills this role. Their personalities are
subject to great changes. Consciously or subconsciously they are highly
influenced by others. They may, for example, adopt the latest fashions
or mode of behavior whether or not it is personally flattering, or they
may pursue certain activities they feel give them social status rather
than being something they may truly enjoy.
They are apt to possess culinary skills, and design or architectural
ability. Whether or not they have talent in these areas, they are apt
to have great interest in them. Roundness of face, pale, sensitive skin,
and baldness or finely textured hair are physical attributes identified
with Cancer Ascendant. Their bodies have a strong tendency to retain
water. Their emotional orientation is indicative of an addictive nature,
which means it is difficult to escape a battle with excess weight or
addictive substances. The breasts, stomach, and digestive system are
apt to be their most physically vulnerable areas.
HOUSE 2
The second house describes material assets, how you handle monetary
income, and the potential ways it may be earned. It also indicates the
values and priorities you establish throughout life.
CANCER on 2nd HOUSE
Cancer ruling the second house indicates individuals who tend to equate
money or personal assets with emotional security. They are apt to exhibit
this Cancerian influence in one of two classic behavior patterns. Either
they find it difficult to hang on to resources because they spend money
when emotionally upset, or they are very conservative, even miserly
about spending assets because without these assets they feel vulnerable
and insecure. The more common tendency for these individuals is to engage
in impulse buying or acquire property of one sort or another as a way
of seeking emotional consolation. There is also strong potential they
will consciously or subconsciously attempt to use money or status to
buy the affections of others, or in turn allow their own affections
to be bartered in the same way. They can demonstrate great flexibility
when it comes to priorities. What they deem important today may not
be so important tomorrow. There is possibility of family inheritance
or income from a family trust, just as there is also the possibility
of having to take financial responsibility for family members.
HOUSE 3
The third house describes your mental state, intellectual orientation,
self-expression and communication, early education, mechanical dexterity
and skills, immediate environment (neighborhood), and siblings. It indicates
physical actions, and transportation, especially within your immediate
environment. To a certain extent the third house also describes the
job or health of your father.
LEO on 3rd HOUSE
Leo ruling the third house indicates individuals who are likely to assert
themselves and their ideas through all kinds of communication networks
they set up, and by being (or trying to be) everywhere at once. Their
need for self-expression goes beyond mere desire. Thoughts and ideas
are the direct expression of their egos. In turn this implies they need
to find ways to express themselves as a means of preserving their egos.
They want to develop their ideas, but it doesn't necessarily mean they
will seek a formal education. Nor does the desire to assert their ideas
signify they will seek public recognition. They may be content, for
example, with a simple thing like keeping a diary. If they have talent
their egos find adequate expression in artistic endeavors. There is
likely to be much interaction with others in their immediate vicinity
such as family members or neighbors. Their facility and need for communication
may turn them into constant travelers, letter writers, and telephone
users. They enjoy dealing with information and ideas.
URANUS in 3rd HOUSE
Uranus in the third house indicates those with a keen intellect, though
its manifestations can be highly unpredictable. It is difficult for
these individuals to use or communicate what they learn unless they
practice retention, develop organization, and eliminate distractions.
Taking tests can also be difficult. They want to convey what they know
rather than what others require them to know. Likely to be very adept
and self-taught individuals, they enjoy interesting trivia and knowledge
of odd and unusual subjects. Their intellectual and physical reactions
to stimuli are immediate. However, consistency and a steady rhythm are
difficult to maintain. Unpredictable, jerky movements can make them
very clumsy, and in some cases, accident prone. In the structured routine
of classroom instruction they grow restless. They find it hard to sit
still for long periods even when being entertained. If subjected to
long-winded sermons or boring lectures, they are sure to head for the
nearest exit. For all their jumpiness and unpredictability, they have
remarkable mental poise. Rarely frightened or upset by unusual situations
or people, these individuals often have a very calming influence on
others who are mentally distressed or hysterical. Eagerly receptive
to new ideas and methods, they also come up with ingenious ideas and
clever solutions of their own. Separation from siblings is a strong
likelihood. Plans often develop complications or go awry for one reason
or another, usually due to circumstances for which these individuals
are not responsible. As if to make up for being unable to plan ahead,
they can do things spontaneously or at the last minute with relative
ease.
HOUSE 4
The fourth house describes your residence, domestic environment, and
family members, especially your mother. It indicates the beginning as
well as the end of various cycles in your life.
VIRGO on 4th HOUSE
Virgo ruling the fourth house indicates those who are likely to prefer
working at home or spend a great deal of time with hobbies or projects
at home. They often possess extensive collections of magazines and other
factual material. If they happen to be more mechanically inclined than
intellectually oriented, their homes become bases for tinkering with
mechanical devices, the most popular of which are automobiles. Because
of the sensitive, critical nature of Virgo, its influence implies they
have a critical eye toward certain aspects of their households. They
may, for example, have a compulsion to maintain neat well-organized
homes. They allow their homes to be used for community meetings or other
neighborhood projects. The negative potential of Virgo's influence can
mean arguments or separation from siblings, as well as estrangements
and disagreements with neighbors. Virgo's influence suggests that the
domestic nature of these individuals can be very restless, indicating
frequent changes of residence, frequent alterations to their homes,
or maintaining more than one residence.
HOUSE 5
The fifth house describes your creative talent and imaginative powers,
capacity for enjoyment and the pursuit of pleasure, romance, children,
and speculative ventures.
LIBRA on 5th HOUSE
Libra ruling the fifth house indicates the possibility of individuals
who can raise the pursuit of pleasure to a fine art. They are likely
to have the capacity to genuinely enjoy the physical pleasures that
life has to offer, and are often just plain lucky as well. They love
to be dressed in the very best and most beautiful clothes, and to attend
the very finest and most elegant places to dine and be entertained.
They usually have such wonderful manners and personal charm others don't
notice or become offended if they happen to overindulge themselves.
They are among the world's best and most romantic lovers, and their
conquests often don't seem to mind being only one in a long line of
romantic partners. The negative potential can mean inability to enjoy
things, problems with children or romance, and bad luck in speculative
ventures. A fifth house Libra influence indicates those who are very
artistic and may be talented stage or costume designers, musicians,
writers or illustrators. They are apt to have wonderful social rapport
with children, understanding instinctively what will amuse and entertain
them.
HOUSE 6
The sixth house describes your job, daily responsibilities (paid and
unpaid), and those who work for or with you. It also represents your
health, and physical fitness.
SAGITTARIUS on 6th HOUSE
Sagittarius ruling the sixth house indicates individuals with a strong
streak of independence that urges many of them to operate their own
businesses rather than work for others. However even those don't mind
being employed by others, are still likely to have a very independent
attitude toward work habits. They are happiest when allowed to work
unsupervised, set their own pace, decide their own deadlines, and fix
their own schedules. The negative potential can mean those with health
problems caused by overindulgence. Their job performance may suffer
from chronic disorganization or procrastination, or a too-confining
work environment. They prefer jobs that involve selling, sports, traveling
or publishing. They also enjoy consulting, law, education, religion,
and art. They are apt to be animal lovers, though as animal trainers
they may lack the urge to maintain the constant discipline needed for
control. The same thing may be said about their personal lives and relationships
with those who work for or with them.
MOON in 6th HOUSE
Moon in the sixth house indicates vulnerability to a continuing variety
of medical complaints, especially stomach or digestive disorders. The
ailments of these individuals are usually not major threats but can
disrupt their work and routine schedules. They are apt to operate a
business from their home, or seek jobs related to homes, food, family
life, women, or children. They develop mothering instincts and other
strong emotional identification toward those who work for or with them.
They may work better with women than with men. Work habits may be inconsistent
as is their ability to stay in jobs. Their general health and psychological
outlook are strongly affected by their work, and when the work environment
or responsibilities are upsetting for some reason, inefficiency and
absences are the result.
MOON trine VENUS
Getting others to cooperate with them is almost always an easy matter
for those with Moon trine Venus, often requiring little or no real effort
on their part. This aspect implies easy charm, gracious manners, and
the potential for artistic talent. They have keen intellects and highly
developed social and diplomatic skills, though how they apply these
skills or how well they use them depends on other factors in their personalities.
HOUSE 7
The seventh house relates to marriage and partnership or joint ventures
of any kind. It describes how you interact with people and how others
tend to regard you. The seventh house is associated with legal matters,
negotiations, contracts, and all open confrontations, pleasant as well
as adversarial.
CAPRICORN on 7th HOUSE
Capricorn ruling the seventh house has many implications concerning
the marital situation of these individuals. One of the first considerations
is that they are not apt to meet with good fortune if they marry too
young or without a great deal of consideration. There is also the possibility
they will marry someone older or more mature. If there are negative
factors in their personalities or backgrounds it can mean marriage and
its attendant responsibilities may seem so severe as to prohibit their
ever attempting to marry. Yet another potentiality is that either they
or their marriage partners will view marriage as a means of obtaining
security. There is no direct implication of whether they are the ones
to embark on such a venture, or the ones destined to be married for
their money or status. Capricorn's influence on the seventh house does
not mean marriage will be unhappy and indeed, it may be stable, enduring,
and become happier as the years go by. However, others may tend to regard
their marriages as restrictive, too formal or somber. It may be difficult
for them to enter into light-hearted relationships, and whether they
mean to or not, may acquire responsibilities for people in whom they
have no special interest.
MARS in 7th HOUSE
Mars in the seventh house indicates those who put much vitality and
energy into relationships, marriage, business partnerships or joint
ventures, and dealing with other people in general. They enthuse and
encourage others to be sure, but they also rely on others to engender
and constantly rekindle energy and vitality within themselves. Being
cut off from the stimulation of interactions, or working alone can be
detrimental to developing motivations they need to get things done.
Marriage or business partnerships may not always be easy to establish.
Their energy and activities may be sapped or overshadowed by an overly
aggressive partner. They are apt to encounter or initiate many open
confrontations. Negative factors in their personality or background
can mean argumentative and even violent encounters, and loss of a partner
through accident. These individuals may seek a career in law or contract
negotiation, or marry someone who works in these areas.
MARS trine PLUTO
Mars trine Pluto indicates those with a strong sense of what they like
and dislike and just as strong an inclination to get what they want.
There are notable passions as well as clear ability to separate what
is relevant and important from that which is irrelevant and should be
abandoned. They are fortunate to have valuable resources, material and
non-material, and to know how to make use of them.
HOUSE 8
The eighth house is related to taxes, debt, death, legacies, and the
income you receive through marriage or business partner(s). It describes
your resourcefulness, and your ability to develop and use material assets
as well as personal skills and abilities. The eighth house also indicates
sexual attitudes and behavior.
CAPRICORN on 8th HOUSE
Capricorn ruling the eighth house indicates those whose marriage or
business partners may have very few material resources to contribute.
It is also possible that their partners are unwilling to either enjoy
or share personal assets with them. This may also be the situation with
regard to anything these individuals inherit, that is, it may be so
small as to be negligible, or if it is a considerable estate, it may
turn out to bring more sorrow than joy to their lives. Capricorn's influence
can also be positive since it can engender responsible handling of finances,
which in turn, helps preserve and improve the status of resources. If
there are negative factors in their personalities or backgrounds it
can mean the possibility of inherited illnesses or physical defects.
These individuals may harbor aversions to insurance matters and neglect
them altogether, or worry excessively about being adequately protected.
They may fear death, and perhaps even more, the tax collector. If not
sufficiently in awe of the IRS, they should be, since discrepancies
in which they indulge in this area are sure to be discovered.
HOUSE 9
The ninth house describes higher education, advanced training, publishing,
publicity, advertising, politics, foreign travel, foreign studies, religious
and philosophical views and activities, and cultural pursuits. It relates
to court decisions, a second marriage, and in-laws. To a certain extent
the ninth house also describes the job or health of your mother.
AQUARIUS on 9th HOUSE
Aquarius ruling the ninth house suggests that in the matter of higher
education or advanced training, these individuals may be better suited
to being self-taught. It isn't necessarily that they aren't willing
or able to pursue higher education, but there is potential they may
be too restless and independent to endure lectures and formal instructions.
Left to their own methods and motivations however, they may become expert
on subjects that interest them and develop impressive mechanical or
artistic skills with little or no formal instruction. There is also
implication with unpredictable Aquarius that they may experience sudden
or unexpected disruptions in their education or training, and perhaps
even be required to begin again at a later time. Religious or philosophical
views are apt to be unpredictable and unorthodox. Even if they do not
adopt totally radical views, their ideas are vulnerable to sudden change
and they may rebel against traditional ideas and practices. They may
also lean so far toward the traditional as to become ultraconservative
and fanatical. This same point can be made about their ideas relating
to art, music, or literature.
JUPITER in 9th HOUSE
Jupiter in the ninth house indicates those with intellectual curiosity,
independent attitudes, idealism, and quickness of mind. They have great
respect for knowledge, but there is no guarantee these individuals will
be motivated to pursue higher education. It does suggest however, that
they have a nose for news as well as gossip. Avid readers of newspapers
and magazines, they are usually very well informed concerning political
and social issues. There is potential talent for languages, diplomacy,
or arbitration. They enjoy traveling, cultural pursuits, gambling, sports
and other activities that offer intellectual and physical challenge.
They have a strong religious or spiritual nature, a wonderful sense
of humor, and a gift for story telling. Negative factors in their personality
or background can mean mental laziness, disorganization, dishonesty,
and a strong flair for exaggeration and overestimation.
JUPITER opposite URANUS
This generational aspect implies unstable conditions and a general confusion
that may lead to complete chaos, all quite often the result of a complete
reversal of existing conditions. It is an aspect of rebellion against
the status quo, and individuals born with this aspect may tend to be
temperamentally suited to such a condition unless other factors in their
personalities and backgrounds soften its influence.
JUPITER square PLUTO
Jupiter square Pluto implies a generation that succeeds through sheer
force of will power. Societal situations which confront these individuals
involve issues of power and control and, as a result, they are forced
to analyze and understand human psychological motivations and behavioral
patterns. How much of this spills into their private affairs is a matter
of other factors in their personalities and backgrounds.
HOUSE 10
The tenth house describes your career and other long-range goals, public
reputation, superiors and those in authority. It also relates to your
father and his influence in your life.
PISCES on 10th HOUSE
Pisces ruling the tenth house indicates individuals who may face the
necessity for guarding their reputations since there is danger of scandal
or being connected with someone else's disgrace. There is also a possibility
they will have glamorous or mysterious public images. Their marriage
or business partners may be found among those who live or were raised
near water. The influence of Pisces implies several situations related
to a parent, in most cases, the father. They may, for example, be abandoned,
either literally or figuratively, by the father. There may also be a
secret or sorrow or depression connected with the father, or he may
be disabled, suffer from mental or emotional problems, or be addicted
to alcohol or drugs. Negative potential includes the possibility of
failure to get recognition they deserve or to achieve their goals. The
career or long range goals they seek may involve aiding those who are
disabled, institutionalized, underprivileged, or minorities. Religion,
theater, dance, art, medicine, or maritime industries are other possible
areas that hold the key to their destinies.
SUN in 10th HOUSE
Sun in the tenth house indicates those who possess a strong ego that
must find public expression. Very few of these individuals are likely
to be satisfied with staying home. Those who choose such a life-style
or are forced into it, are apt to be miserable. Even if their main focus
is home and family, sooner or later, they feel the need to accomplish
their personal goals through a career or other activities. The father
is emphasized, and these individuals feel his influence more than most.
Their accomplishments may be the direct result of his help, or have
been motivated by the lack of it. They may bear a strong physical resemblance
to the father. These individuals seek to attain public positions. They
are apt to work for themselves or occupy an elevated position in the
companies that employ them.
SUN conjunct MERCURY
These individuals are apt to be very subjective in their opinions and
ideas. Unless they make concerted efforts, their receptiveness to learning
is going to stay primarily limited to their self-interests, which in
turn limits their growth and progress as individuals. It is hard to
separate their own ideas from others since consciously or subconsciously
their egos have a tendency to appropriate everything. If natal Mercury
is in a different sign than natal Sun, there is less chance of ego involvement
and more mental receptiveness.
SUN sextile MARS
Sun sextile Mars indicates those likely to be quick to take advantage
of opportunities that come their way, and not so narrow as to limit
themselves to taking only those that seem to promise some obvious advantage.
Their energetic response is to eagerly grab all opportunities that arouse
them emotionally, mentally, or physically.
SUN sextile PLUTO
Sun sextile Pluto is usually an indication of individuals who are given
opportunities to interact with those more powerful than themselves.
These opportunities also represent the chance for these individuals
to learn the value of control and power and what happens when such privileges
are abused. Not everyone they meet will give tangible assistance in
the way of money or obvious favors, but they often turn out to be important
resources in helping these individuals get ahead in other ways.
MERCURY in 10th HOUSE
Mercury in the tenth house indicates individuals who want their thoughts
and ideas conveyed to an audience. Even if they do not seek public attention
for themselves, they want a public forum for their ideas, or in which
to put these ideas into practice. They may write speeches for others,
or become city planners and engineers. Others enjoy mental pursuits
in public places such as chess matches in the park or writing letters
to the editors of newspapers. There is also the potential for more than
one career, or a dual-natured quality connected with their work. The
negative potential of this Mercury house position includes difficulty
in communicating with the father or other authority figures, and problems
establishing their own authority. Mercury's influence in the tenth house
is an indication of writers, teachers, public speakers, or politicians.
Their career or profession may demand a great deal of traveling, or
involve transportation or networking.
MERCURY conjunct SATURN
Mercury conjunct Saturn indicates those who may be too formal and structured
in their thinking to give credence to possibilities that don't fit their
preconceived ideas or plans. They are ambitious and want their ideas
to be looked upon as authoritative. Most of them have very little disposition
for engaging in tact or idle flattery, or perhaps in some individuals,
it is lack of understanding of how to go about more personal and seductive
ways of communication.
SATURN in 10th HOUSE
Tenth house Saturn indicates those who have special concerns related
to their father, as well as supervisors and other authority figures
in general. These individuals may be separated at a young age from their
father, or he may be austere, strict, or overburdened with responsibilities.
They may have to assume responsibility for him. The strongest motivations
these individuals have in life is related to the positive or negative
paternal relationship they experienced. Saturn's influence suggests
those with strong career goals. They seek positions of authority and
are dedicated to pushing themselves relentlessly forward. As a result,
they usually accomplish much of what they set out to do, though it may
take them a bit longer to succeed. It is well for these individuals
to remember that whatever success or good fortune they gain will be
accompanied by heavy responsibilities. Those willing to accept their
rewards on this basis will do well in life. Those who waste what they
attain or abuse any authority or power with which they are entrusted,
are invariably disgraced and forced to start over.
VENUS in 10th HOUSE
Venus in the tenth house indicates those who tend to get noticed because
of their talent, looks, charming personality, or all three of these
assets. Unless factors in their background have resulted in the development
of shyness or other inhibitions, they derive a great deal of pleasure
from performing in public. They are excellent ad libers, impromptu speechifiers
and toastmasters. Negative potential includes those who become an over
dramatic, non-appeasable seeker of the spotlight who selfishly uses
relationships to further their own career or goals. It can also mean
difficult relationships with family and authority figures. The positive
influence of Venus suggests great popularity and friends in prominent
positions. The father may be especially handsome or possess artistic
talent.
HOUSE 11
The eleventh house rules friendships, organizations to which you belong,
and income derived from self-employment or career (as opposed to wages
earned from a job). It relates to the role you play in the lives of
others as child, parent, lover, spouse, friend, social or business associate.
The eleventh house also describes your hopes and aspirations and capacity
for happiness.
ARIES on 11th HOUSE
Aries ruling the eleventh house indicates the likelihood of individuals
who put their energy and vitality into establishing a wide range of
social contacts and participating in the activities of clubs and organizations.
The enthusiasm and energy of Aries influences and enhances their social
lives and their friendships. Their friends are likely to fit an Aries
description which means they will include soldiers, hunters, pioneers,
sports enthusiasts, inventors, and risk-takers of every description,
as well as those with energetic go-getting attitudes. The negative potential
connected with Aries on the eleventh house can mean individuals who
develop antisocial attitudes, rudeness or irascibility. They may provoke
or participate in arguments and open confrontations. It can also mean
individuals who are never happy with what they have. They may work very
hard to achieve something, only to decide they want something more or
something else entirely. They may have many acquaintances but few friends,
there being more energy and quickly-burned passion in their contacts
than long term emotional commitment.
NEPTUNE in 11th HOUSE
Neptune in the eleventh house indicates the potential for undermining
influences and elements of illusion, confusion, or mystery to surround
the role these individuals play in the lives of others as a child, parent,
lover, spouse, or friend. These individuals may not understand the true
nature of the people (or relationships they share) with whom they live
and socialize. They may adopt a child, or marry someone with children.
Other potentials include those who have trouble getting a true picture
of their own happiness. When they attain what they thought would make
them happy, they often discover it doesn't. Some of them are never content
with their achievements, or with the money, possessions, and relationships
they have. Some of them, however, manage to be so content with whatever
comes their way, they never succeed in realizing their full potential.
Their friends are apt to be artists, poets, and dreamers. They may also
share affection and friendship with dancers, clerics, mathematicians,
and sailors. Discretion must always be used when choosing close companions,
since these individuals have no trouble attracting people who can do
them absolutely no good. Friends may be addicted to drugs or alcohol
or involved in illegal activities. Neptune's negative influence can
also mean the untimely loss of a friend, and the infidelity of a marriage
partner. Though friendships can be afflicted by deception, this is not
always the case. The positive side of Neptune implies highly inspirational
and sensitive, perhaps even clairvoyant, relationships can be established
with friends.
PLUTO in 11th HOUSE
Pluto in the eleventh house indicates those whose central theme in life
is analyzing what makes them happy. To accommodate what may be an intense
desire to find true happiness, they make a completely new beginning
with new friends and if possible, in a new environment. The fresh start
they attempt may be successful, but if it merely represents a desire
to run away from unresolved problems or unsatisfactory relationships,
they are certain to fail. By choice or circumstance there may be secrecy
and hidden control or manipulation related to the role they play in
the lives of others, as child, parent, sibling, lover, spouse, or friend.
Understanding the necessity of directing energy away from the self and
toward a relationship or group effort, being able to work as part of
a group instead of dominating it, and focusing on common goals rather
than emphasizing differences are what give ultimate influence and power
to those with an eleventh house Pluto.
HOUSE 12
The twelfth house describes the private and hidden side of life; your
subconscious mind, dreams, the past, and those who wish you harm or
work against your interests. The twelfth house relates to sorrow, disappointment,
loss, solitude or confinement, hidden fears and worry. It also has connection
with the job or health of your marriage or business partner.
GEMINI on 12th HOUSE
Gemini ruling the twelfth house indicates individuals who may keep many
of their ideas and thoughts to themselves. As a rule they are able to
think and communicate more effectively in quiet environments. They are
attracted to investigations that go beyond the physical planes, such
as the subconscious, dreams, and extra sensory perception. Their thoughts
and ideas are not always based on logical reasoning but are often a
result of instinct or intuition. Sometimes this type of thinking works,
and sometimes they need to get a clearer sense of reality. They can
become prisoners of their own minds. The influence of Gemini suggests
the possibility of being involved in communication or computers connected
with hospitals, prisons, charitable institutions, or mental institutions.
Their marriage partners may be clerics, artists, or they may work in
law, contract negotiations, teaching, writing, or publishing.
